Membership (Annual Dues $75.00)

Persons in public or private practice who meet the requirements as set forth by the Constitution of the Independent Association of Accountants of Brooklyn and Staten Island shall be eligible for membership.

Those persons are those who (a) have attained the age of eighteen, (b) are of good moral character, (c) are citizens of the United States or have declared their intention of becoming such, and (d) meet the requirements set forth below;

1. Engaged in the practice of public accounting, or, have intentions thereto, or
2. Engaged in the practice of tax accounting, or, have intentions thereto, or
3. Employed on the staff of a person engaged in the practice of public accounting or
    tax accounting, or,
4. Are an accountant in either city, state or federal government accounting departments
    or subdivisions thereof, AND,
5. Have completed or are in the process of completing the required Continuing
    Professional Education hours; 12 hours required in each year.
