About
The Independent Association of Accountants of Brooklyn
and Staten Island invite you to make this one of your
educational and professional organizations. Join our
diverse and dedicated group of public accountants, tax
consultants, tax preparers, certified public accountants,
enrolled agents, students, and others in related fields.
We are a non-profit professional organization, representing
small- to medium-size accounting practices that service
individuals and businesses throughout the New York City
area, and beyond.
Since 1990, IAA has been providing members with the
services they need. Through our dinner meeting lectures,
we not only learn the latest in the fast changing and
complex world of taxation, accounting, and finance,
but also provide an opportunity for you to expand your
skills into new areas.
Clients Served
By IAA Members
IAA members serve individuals and businesses which require
professional services in a number of areas including
accounting, tax laws and their applications, and management
techniques. Within our group discussions, we help each
other in evaluating problems our clients have or may
encounter, and suggest methods to improve an individual’s
tax situation as well as a business operation. Creativity
and practical answers are the result of this cooperation.
Keeping Current
in Our Profession
As tax professionals, we are required to maintain the
highest level of knowledge and expertise, on the Federal,
State, and local levels. This is accomplished through
our dinner meeting lectures and discussions. The IAA
of Brooklyn and of Staten Island is a recognized sponsor
of Continuing Professional Education by the State of
New York. Each meeting gives attendees two (2) hours
of continuing professional educational credit for accountants.
The Independent Accountant Association of Brooklyn and
Staten Island is an organization which educates and
informs its members to help better serve their individuals
and small business clients. Through open discussion
and exchange of ideas, members are in a favorable position
to learn and to alert clients about the tax law changes
which affect themselves, and their clients. Our goal,
then, is to help position our members to be the accountant
at the ‘head of the class.’
